Introduce yourself
Ana Parra Vivas is a perfect example of how working to change your self-perception can have incredible and tangible benefits in your life. Growing up in Colombia, Ana faced many difficulties, and these difficulties challenged her beliefs in herself. However, at the age of 18, she came across a book that would change the way she viewed her own life.Years later, working in corporate America, Ana again found herself in a situation that required change. Her career was taking away time from her family, and she began to feel unfulfilled as a woman. She decided to study herself and, ultimately, she discovered the tools that brought her balance as she recovered her personal power.I Trust, My Inner Voice is not only the story of how Ana found balance in her life, but also a guide for anyone struggling to take the next steps towards the life of independence and freedom they desire. The Inner Voice is a powerful tool, and this book can help readers harness that power.Do you trust your Inner Voice?
Let’s talk about your journey to where you are today. What were some of the biggest obstacles you faced and how did you overcome them?
I don’t believe I have experienced obstacles. I have experienced challenges that have helped me to be the person I am today. One of the biggest challenges that helped me to make the decision to look for help from a mentor was when I was experiencing stress and anxiety due to working in a corporation and raising a family. After making this decision my journey to a well-balanced life started.
I’m a big believer in work-life balance. How do you manage to stay grounded and connected to your personal life while pursuing your professional goals?
I teach women the tools to help them to achieve a well-balanced life. This is key in the process of manifesting. We attract what we feel. Therefore, if we want to attract an amazing life, it is key to staying in balance and feeling good every day.One of the tools that I teach women is to determine their priorities and goals and say no to everything that is not in alignment with this.
We often hear about the importance of work-life balance, but it can be hard to achieve in practice. How do you make time for the things that matter most to you outside of work?
I use a calendar and add the time needed to dedicate to my priorities, working towards my goal, time for me, and time for my family.
It’s always interesting to hear about the people who have influenced and inspired us. Who are some of the most important role models in your life?
My mom and grandmother. My grandmother was a strong woman who provided for 14 kids. She was an entrepreneur and passed to her children great values such as always finding ways to improve their own lives. My mom always encouraged my siblings and me to be better and be able to support ourselves financially.
Let’s talk about your values. What are some of the core beliefs that guide your decision-making and actions?
Honesty and Integrity
We all have hobbies and passions that bring us joy and fulfillment outside of work. What are some of yours, and how have they enriched your life?
I love to travel, camp, and exercise.
Let’s talk about self-care. What are some of the practices or routines you have in place to prioritize your own well-being?
I teach in my book I Trust My Inner Voice about Healthy Mental Habits™. These are actions I take daily to stay balanced. Some of these habits are, practicing gratitude and sending love to those who bother us.
The world can be a challenging place, and sometimes it’s hard to stay positive and focused on our goals. How do you stay motivated and resilient in the face of adversity?
Using discrimination to not consume negative information or any information that is not alignment with my goals. In addition to practicing Healthy Mental Habits™ daily.
Let’s talk about your upbringing. What were some of the most important values or lessons you learned from your family or community growing up?
The most important value was to find ethical ways to be financially independent and always be better spiritually.
As someone who has accomplished a lot in your life, what advice would you give to someone just starting out on their own journey?
I suggest that they make a decision to learn the tools to achieve success with ease. Once they have made the decision find a mentor who can help them with those tools.
As someone who has experienced success in multiple areas of your life, how do you define success for yourself?
I love this definition of success by Earl Nightingale ~ Success is the progressive realization of a worthy goal or ideal. This means that if I have not achieved my goal yet and every day I take action to progress on my goal,  I should feel successful every day.My goal should be worthy of me, it should not be the goal of my spouse, parents, children, or community.
I’m a big believer in the power of gratitude. What are some of the things you’re most grateful for in your life right now?
I teach my students to write 10 things they are grateful for every day. These are my top four. I am grateful that I am alive, my health, my healthy family, and my wealth.
We all have moments where we feel like we’re in a rut or not making progress. How do you break out of those patterns and stay focused on your goals?
The way to stay focused on my goals is by practicing Healthy Mental Habits™.If we are working on a goal and follow guidance from the Divine Spirit and practice Healthy Mental Habits™ consistently and the goal has not manifested, it could be because the seed or goal needs more time for its gestation (The law of gestation states there is a period of incubation that all seeds need to grow before being harvested. For example, a human being’s gestation period is around 9 months. Our goals take time to manifest. However, nobody knows with precision the time they will take to manifest.)
Let’s talk about mentorship. Have you had any mentors or advisors who have had a significant impact on your life or career?
Yes, Bob Proctor, Peggy McColl, and many authors such as Napoleon Hill, Dr. Joseph Murphy
Let’s talk about the importance of community. How has your network of friends, family, or colleagues helped support you in your personal and professional growth?
When I decided to become a new Ana and changed my negative habits with healthy habits, my friends changed. This is something that is inevitable when we are achieving success. My job is to always look for opportunities to surround myself with people who motivate me, uplift me, and give me ideas to keep growing.
As someone who has achieved a lot in your career, how do you handle criticism or setbacks? Can you share an example of a time when you faced a major challenge and how you overcame it?
Negative criticism is rare in my life. In addition, if it is presented  I don’t give any focus to those things. It is important to understand something, we attract who we are. Therefore, if someone is attracting negative people to their lives constantly is important to make evaluation of what kind of thoughts they are having most of the day.
