🚘 Become a Forester Scoop Driver — Boutique Rideshare (Kingwood)

We’re not Uber or Lyft. We’re local, personal, and proudly community-built. The Forester Scoop is Kingwood’s first and only boutique rideshare experience—created by residents, for residents. This is about trust, consistency, and connection. Our riders are your neighbors, and our drivers are hand-picked to represent the values and vibe of The Livable Forest.

Why Drive With Us

  • Make a local impact: grocery runs, teen drop-offs, community events.
  • Calm workflow: fixed 30-minute ride blocks.
  • Transparent payouts: you keep 90% of every fare.

Driver Insurance Requirements (One-Pager)

Operate like Uber, but local. You use your own car and maintain your own personal auto insurance with a rideshare/TNC endorsement. The Forester Scoop (the TNC) carries a company policy that applies while you’re on a trip and fills any gaps required by Texas law.

What you must maintain

  • Personal auto policy in your name on the vehicle you drive.
  • Rideshare/TNC endorsement (or policy language showing no TNC exclusion).
  • Current registration and (where applicable) emissions documentation.

Coverage checkpoints

Period 1 — Logged in, available, no trip

  • At least $50,000 / $100,000 / $25,000 liability (BI per person / BI per incident / PD).
  • UM/UIM and PIP as required by Texas law.

Periods 2–3 — Accepted → Drop-off

  • $1,000,000 third-party liability (provided by the TNC policy).
  • UM/UIM and PIP as required by Texas law.

What you upload before activation

  1. Driver’s license.
  2. Vehicle registration.
  3. Insurance ID card and endorsement/policy pages.

Ongoing requirements

  • Keep insurance active; notify us immediately of any lapse or change.
  • Annual background check and MVR consent.
  • Complete human trafficking awareness training (initial + annual).

Compliance Steps (Complete Online)

  1. MVR Consent: Open the Driver Onboarding form (in-app) and agree to the Driving Record (MVR) authorization. We’ll pull your record for activation and annually thereafter.

Intoxicating Substance Policy — Zero Tolerance

Report a driver immediately via any of these:

Policy: Drivers may not be intoxicated in any amount while logged in. Complaints trigger immediate suspension pending investigation and may lead to permanent deactivation.

Non-Discrimination & Accessibility Policy

Our Commitment

The Livable Forest® prohibits discrimination against riders or drivers based on race, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, sex, marital status, gender identity, age, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. Refusing to provide or accept services for these reasons is not allowed and may result in permanent removal from the platform.

Service Animals & Assistive Devices

  • Drivers must accept riders with service animals. You may not deny or cancel a trip because of a service animal—even if you have allergies, religious objections, or a generalized fear of animals.
  • Allow reasonable use of the front seat or extra time to load mobility devices when needed. Charging extra fees, including “cleaning fees” for normal shedding, is not allowed.
  • When the animal’s role is not obvious, you may ask only: (1) Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? and (2) What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?

Reasonable Modifications

Drivers are expected to make reasonable modifications in policies or practices when necessary to serve riders with disabilities—so long as doing so does not fundamentally alter the service or create a direct threat to safety. Examples include brief curb-to-door assistance or adjusting seating to accommodate a mobility device.

Reporting & Enforcement

  • Report: Email info@thelivableforest.com, in-app SettingsSend us Feedback, or file in the Driver Community.
  • Action: We investigate all discrimination and service-animal complaints. Confirmed violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent deactivation.

Independent Contractor Driver Agreement

Summary only; the legally binding version is the e-signed agreement you complete during onboarding. Consider having your own counsel review.

11) Dispute Resolution

  • The parties agree to individual arbitration in Harris County, Texas, except as prohibited by law, after good-faith informal resolution efforts.
